I've programmed with Eagle for years. However, I'm putting my money and time into Kicad. Lot's of Library components and the push and shove manual router makes routing a real pleasure. Kicad is by far, in my opinion than Eagle.
Kicad also does very nice exports to SVG, so if your making your own boards, ...
