Filename too long errors on Windows 10

FYI ..

When git clone https://github.com/krtkl/snickerdoodle-examples.git I was getting errors on Windows 10 like

error: unable to create file snickerdoodle_black_GPIO/snickerdoodle_black_GPIO.ip_user_files/bd/base_block_design/ip/base_block_design_rst_processing_system7_0_50M_0/sim/base_block_design_rst_processing_system7_0_50M_0.vhd (Filename too long)
